Reel-Time Zone Difference – Roddy the Piper and Visit Scotland at IMEX

Roddy left the sunny shores of Scotland for the bright lights of Las Vegas last week. Travelling with Visit Scotland to the IMEX American Convention Roddy helped share Scotland’s culture and tradition with the USA. IMEX is the largest conference for the MICE industry (meetings, incentives, conferences and events) representing 148 countries and 2,400 hosted buyers. Visit Scotland travelled to Las Vegas to showcase Scotland’s tourism industry; it was a great opportunity to display Scotland’s potential to representatives from around the world. Deal at Dundas Castle: Scottish Entertainment Event

On Wednesday night Roddy attended the signing of a £300m deal by financiers at Dundas Castle. Amid the Champagne and Canapés Reel Time were on hand providing the best of Scottish entertainment. Reel Time put on a Full Scottish Show including highly skilled drummers, pipers and clarsach players. During the celebrations two mini pipe bands drummed the beat to mark the momentous occasion. Alongside the vibrant music several Highland Dancers took to the floor to impress the guests in the traditional highland attire. The Scraggly cats playing at the Arran Folk Festival The Reel Time Ceilidh Band - Scraggly Cats were over in Arran last weekend for the Whisky and folk festival. Reel Time Events is a whisky tasting company based in Edinburgh.  We were asked to put on a Whisky tasting for a health and safety conference dinner. We arrived at the Hilton in Glasgow while the guests were enjoying their dinner. Setting up the Whisky stations in a room adjacent to the dining guests. Reel Time Events and Visit Britain entertain the Travel Trade.

The Reel Time team were recruited by Visit Britain to entertain 500 international travel trade guests. With all the exciting events coming to Scotland in 2014, there is a real push to market Scotland to international buyers; with the Ryder Cup, commonwealth games and a year of Homecoming The event was hosted at Wembley Stadium and was Visit Britains biggest annual event for business to business buyers. Dundas Birthday Bash – Ceilidh at the Castle

A fantastic weekend of birthday celebrations was had by all at Dundas Castle over the weekend with entertainments supplied by the one and only Reel-Time Events! Bagpiper in Croatia: International Filming

Back from an interesting international bagpiping assignment. Was taken out to Dubrovnik, Croatia to do a bit of filming for US TV network ABC, who were shooting their new reality TV show. We are bound by Confidentiality agreement.. So better not say too much! Basically the idea was that the contestants on the show had to compete in highland games activities.  I was asked to pipe them on to the field, and then introduce the activities, caber tossing, archery and maide leisg.
