All of our ceilidh bands come complete with caller to guide guests though the dances.  Allowing ceilidh rookies and seasoned ceilidh pros to have an equally good time.  The bands all play the traditional favorites that include the Gay Gordons, Strip the Willow, Canadian Barn Dance and many more.

Reel Time Ceilidh Band

The Reel Time Ceilidh band are a modern and funky band providing a twist on traditional Scottish Entertainment.  A fusion of modern pop and rock melodies  together with traditional Scottish music.  Creating a 21^st century ceilidh for the kilted generation.

Led by the bagpipes in a change from the traditional line up of a ceilidh band.  They can perform as a 4 or 5 piece including keyboard, fiddle, electric guitar and drums.

Catering for ceilidh novices and experienced dancers alike.  The band will call the dances, helping everyone enjoy themselves on the dance floor.  Knowing that not everyone will have ceilidh danced before the band like to keep the dances simple.  Typical dances include the Gay Gordons, Dashing White Sergeant, Circassian Circle, Virginia Reel, Canadian Barndance and the Flying Scotsman.

The band has extensive experience playing for corporate events.  The band have a wealth of corporate experience, performing at events including the M&I Forum in Edinburgh, Visit Scotland’s Expo, Disney Pixar’s Brave press launch.  They have also appeared in adverts for FlyBe and VisitScotland.

Reel Time Folk Band

The Reel Time Folk band are a lively band, consisting of the Scottish small pipes, accordion, guitar and fiddle and drums.  By selecting the most entertaining performers from around Scotland who provide a traditional sound with is lively while remaining unobtrusive.  Perfect for music over dinner, drinks receptions and as background music.

Typically the band play jigs, reels, marches and hornpipes. They can be easily amplified for larger events should you require to.

Scraggly Cats

The Scraggly Cats are an exciting hybrid of the rocking sound of the Reel Time band fused with a modern covers band.

By popular demand the Scraggly Cats came together to include a singer alongside the ceilidh band. Giving the band the ability to combine their distinctive contemporary ceilidh sound with a range of pop anthems from pop and soul from all eras.

As a result the Cats are versatile and dynamic, performing at a host of events including product launches, conferences, expos, etc.  The band can tailor their performance between funky ceilidh and pop hits to suit your attendees and their dancing experience.
