The team at Reel Time Ceilidh did an amazing job adapting to a NEW concept.  We together combined a Karaoke event with classic Ceilidh to create the first CeilidhOKE event.  Elaine Tilton came up with the concept, (2500 miles away in the US...) and the RT team and she collaborated to run the first-of-its kind event. Roddy and team at Reel Time were perfect! They were so easy to work with which means a great deal as we were planning our wedding from the states! They walked us through so many options, answered all of our questions and helped us curate a perfect wedding in Scotland! The Highland Games was a huge hit and the best way to spend our afternoon the day after the wedding for some fun! The team at Reel Time Events put on the BEST Highland Games Competition for my family reunion of 70 people this summer at the Dalmahoy Hotel. They were incredibly communicative, accommodating and so easy to work with. We loved all of the events and we loved how they explained the history, how they are adapted into the modern competitions and they were thorough in explaining how to complete each event. We booked ReelTime Events for a recent corporate booking. They supplied a piper, a ceilidh band, a DJ and a PA system. It was very convenient to be able to source everything from one supplier. Roddy provided the Pipe Down band for our physics conference at the EICC in July 2026.  As the final plenary, in the top floor Pentland Suite, was coming to and end, the screen lit up and the band came on stage.  The audience immediately woke up and out came the phones.  The contemporary play list suited the mood and soon the delegates were clapping along. As soon as they were invited to follow the band down stairs to the subterranean Cromdale Hall for the welcome drinks reception, they jumped out of their seats  and followed.  The performance was completed by a short set whilst delegates  took and drink and tucked in. By contrast at the gala dinner at the National Museum of Scotland, a lone pipe played a short, traditional set at the end of the evening.  As the piper struck up a cheer could be heard in the dining area. I am pretty sure that the pipers will be a talking point at this annual conference for years to come. Reel Time Events provided the bagpiping and whisky tasting services for our wedding on May 16 at Thirlestane Castle, and they added such a special and memorable element to our day. The bagpiper was fantastic and helped create an incredible atmosphere throughout the wedding. He welcomed our guests, played during our ceremony, led everyone to the drinks reception, and then welcomed guests again as we entered the wedding breakfast. It was such a beautiful way to incorporate Scottish tradition into our day, and it was a huge talking point among our guests, particularly our American friends and family, who absolutely loved the experience. My grandmother especially thought it was wonderful and said it was one of her favourite parts of the day. We also chose Reel Time Events for their whisky tasting experience, which was extremely popular with our guests. It was a fantastic addition to the reception and gave everyone an opportunity to enjoy and learn about something so closely connected with Scottish culture. The team were professional, engaging, and helped create moments that our guests will remember long after the wedding. About 1 year ago my wife and i started planning what would be the most beautiful week of our life, alongside our friends and family. Roddy and his trusted team at Reel Time Events were kind enough to help us plan multiple activities on several days, which lead to our group building incredible memories together. Not only we were met with incredible professionalism, but Roddy also poured a lot of heart into what he did. He brought the best of the best in their respective fields, world champions and world class experts, elevating every experience to the highest of levels. The Highland games he organized were by far one of the most fun activities we've ever been a part of.
