Clarsach or Strings provide beautiful and sophisticated background music.  Stringed instruments have been used as far back as the 8^th century and have been a firm favourite for courtly entertainment for hundreds of years.  Stringed instruments provide elegant and unobtrusive music, suitable for cocktail receptions and background music over dinner.

Clarsach

The Clarsach is a small Scottish harp and Scotland’s oldest instrument.  Players can perform well known traditional Scottish songs, to haunting ballads, hymns and contemporary tunes.

The sound of the Clarsach works well with the acoustics of traditional churches and in atmospheric historic venues.

The Clarsach can duet with fiddle or guitar for larger events, or can be amplified through a PA system if needed.

String Quartet

A string quartet can add a certain regal elegance to your event. Our talented professional musicians can play everything from Beethoven and Mozart to more contemporary songs. If you have any specific requests then we can ask the quartet to learn it for you, given enough notice.
