reel time ceilidh band cast on film

The Reel Time ceilidh band have just completed 2 days intense filming for a German film to be aired on Christmas day on Germany, before hitting screens around the world. Reel Time supplied a 5 piece scottish ceilidh band (accordion, fiddle, small pipes, keyboards, drums) along with 10 film extras to perform with the artistes on the movie. We casted kilted ceilidh dancers and ladies in ballgowns for the highland ball scene. Scotland Means Business, Visit Scotland

Reel Time is working with Visit Scotland to entertain their guests who are attending the Scotland Means Business workshops in April.  The Reel Time Ceilidh Band have been booked to entertain guests during their Scottish Gala dinner, then to lead them in a night of ceilidh dancing.  It is great to be involved with this Visit Scotland showcase event, so that we can show potential bookers our contemporary twist on Scottish entertainment.

Reel Time at Murrayfield

Reel Time supplied 8 pipers to Murrayfield Stadium last weekend.  The pipers piped in the huge number of hospitality guests and posed for a few pictures.  The guests were treated to haggis after the game, which was ceremoniously piped in and addressed by Roddy the Piper.

Reel Time Bar tender scoops top prize

Reel Time mixoligist Steve Martin scooped the top prize in the Scottish Gin Final of the ‘World Class Bartending’ competition at  Hotel Missoni in Edinburgh last week.  He beat of competition from some of Scotland’s top mixologists with his innovative creation the ‘Tiny 10th Century’. Robert The Bruce Theme Conference

Reel Time organised a fantastic social program for a pharmaceutical company visiting Edinburgh for their annual conference.  Their vision was to have a Robert the Bruce twist on the conference and to give delegates a lasting impression of Scotland. We organised them everything from a clann battle to Highland games with a whisky tasting as an unwind on the last night.  Of course Robert the Bruce was officiating every day and keeping the guests in good spirits. Plinth Project, Trafalgar Square

Managing director Roddy Deans was selected out of 33000 applicants to receive a place on the 4th Plinth in Trafalgar square, as a part of Antony Gormley’s one and other project. Roddy used his hour to entertain the crowds in Trafalgar square with some well known bagpipe tunes, some contemporary compositions and a fantastic theatrical rendition of Robert Burns address to the haggis, to commemorate 250 years since the great poets birth. Click here to see Roddy's performance.

Bagpipers For Edinburgh Castle

Working in partnership with Historic Scotland, Reel Time is supplying professional bagpipers for Edinburgh Castle, as part of their daily events program.  Our pipers open the castle at 9.30 each morning playing on the front battlements beside the gatehouse suite.  They then play a varied program and pose for guests pictures on the battlements at Hospital square.  The days playing is topped off with a 15 minute recital before the 1 o clock gun is fired. “it is an honour to be working with the castle and entertaining visitors to our country” said Duncan, one [...]
