Gleneagles Experience; the best in Scottish entertainment and hospitality

On the 10th November Reel Time Events travelled to Gleneagles to perform Gleneagles entertainment during The Gleneagles Experience. With the upcoming Ryder Cup in 2014 Gleneagles displayed the best Scotland has to offer; luxury food, drink and the best Scottish entertainment was presented to guests. Reel-Time Zone Difference – Roddy the Piper and Visit Scotland at IMEX

Roddy left the sunny shores of Scotland for the bright lights of Las Vegas last week. Travelling with Visit Scotland to the IMEX American Convention Roddy helped share Scotland’s culture and tradition with the USA. IMEX is the largest conference for the MICE industry (meetings, incentives, conferences and events) representing 148 countries and 2,400 hosted buyers. Visit Scotland travelled to Las Vegas to showcase Scotland’s tourism industry; it was a great opportunity to display Scotland’s potential to representatives from around the world. Reel Time Events is a whisky tasting company based in Edinburgh. We were asked to put on a Whisky tasting for a health and safety conference dinner. We arrived at the Hilton in Glasgow while the guests were enjoying their dinner. Setting up the Whisky stations in a room adjacent to the dining guests. The guests enjoyed a short presentation by Whisky writer and poet, Robin Laing, who explained the nosing technique and why Whisky was good for their health and safety! Scotland Means Business

Reel Time had a wonderful night at Kelvingrove on Tuesday, entertaining the VIP guests of Visit Scotland. We had a bagpiper welcoming the guests to the fantastic Glasgow venue. Roddy Deans was compering the event and addressed the haggis, while the Reel Time Ceilidh Band was on hand to give its funky brand of ceilidh music for guests to let their hair down. Visit Scotland: Scotland Means Business 2011

We were up at the Old Course Hotel on Tuesday for a fantastic event run by Visit Scotland for their Scotland Means Business workshop. 150 companies from all over the world converged on Fairmont Hotel for face to face meetings, networking and of course a VIP Scottish themed gala dinner (held down the road at the Old Course) Roddy Deans was comparing the event, introducing Bagpipers, celtic dancers and of course the energetic Reel Time Ceilidh Band. Guests commented afterwards over a nightcap what a fantastic Scottish event it had been, letting them experience first hand the diverse range of Scottish hospitality, entertainment and culture [...]

Team Building Event at Dundas Castle

Reel Time Events entertained 80 chief executives from the US CEO club. They were looking for team activities, which could be done by any age group. The guests were welcomed to Dundas Castle by Robert the Bruce. Before guests were split into teams and competed in percussion, X-factor kilt dressing, bagpipes and cabers for their highland games. The guests later enjoyed a falconry display, ceilidh band during dinner and mini kilted dancers as a post dinner treat. The guests were excited to see a pipe band beat the retreat at the end of [...]
