Visit Scotland: Scotland Means Business 2011

We were up at the Old Course Hotel on Tuesday for a fantastic event run by Visit Scotland for their Scotland Means Business workshop. 150 companies from all over the world converged on Fairmont Hotel for face to face meetings, networking and of course a VIP Scottish themed gala dinner (held down the road at the Old Course) Roddy Deans was comparing the event, introducing Bagpipers, celtic dancers and of course the energetic Reel Time Ceilidh Band. Guests commented afterwards over a nightcap what a fantastic Scottish event it had been, letting them experience first hand the diverse range of Scottish hospitality, entertainment and culture [...]

Edinburgh Rocks

Reel Time Bars provided a fantastic event bar service for Edinburgh Rocks event at Dance base. 1000 revellers were entertained on the evening and enjoyed some fantastic drinks and cocktails. Edinburgh’s top past and present DJ's were invited along to work up the crowds.

Reel Time tune up for Visit Scotland

Reel Time Ceilidh Band and Roddy the Piper were delighted to be invited to play at this year’s Visit Scotland Business Tourism unit Gala Dinner at Brigadoon. Invited were 150 event organisers, hotel managers, DMC companies and tour operators. The band played a 30 minute set after dinner which got guests arm in arm. 85 Ladies arrive for a highland fling

Reel Time Events got asked for an X factor style kilt dressing session to form a part of a mini indoor highland games. The clients wanted some fun and interactive challenges that teams could compete in to collect the prizes. With their conference being in Scotland this year, they thought that the highland games was a great theme. Major Pipe Band Championship dates 2011

For those of you who are looking to hire a bagpiper for a wedding in 2011, then may i offer you a word of advice. There are 5 major pipe band championships throughout the summer. These are dates when most competing pipers get together and compete for the accolades of pipe band competition. 3 Whisky tastings over the last couple of weeks

McEwan hall, 230 guests enjoyed a Whisky tasting experience in one of Edinburgh University’s most stunning buildings as part of their social program for their conference. We brought in a couple of our friends from Mellis cheesemonger, who served up a great selection of Scottish cheeses. Helping us to promote responsible drinking. We returned To Edinburgh University’s Play fair library for a whisky tasting experience for the Conference of Bibliographers. A smaller group of 100 guests had great interaction with our Whisky experts, and we laid on some great Scottish cheese for them.
