3 Whisky tastings over the last couple of weeks

McEwan hall, 230 guests enjoyed a Whisky tasting experience in one of Edinburgh University’s most stunning buildings as part of their social program for their conference. We brought in a couple of our friends from Mellis cheesemonger, who served up a great selection of Scottish cheeses. Helping us to promote responsible drinking. We returned To Edinburgh University’s Play fair library for a whisky tasting experience for the Conference of Bibliographers. A smaller group of 100 guests had great interaction with our Whisky experts, and we laid on some great Scottish cheese for them.

Edinburgh Conference Whisky tasting

Reel Time entertained the 2010 Nanotoxicology conference with a Whisky tasting for their 340 guests at Edinburgh City Chambers. We set up 4 Whisky stalls each of which was manned by a passionate whisky taster, who advised and entertained guests as they enjoyed a range of fantastic malt whiskies. Team Building Event at Dundas Castle

Reel Time Events entertained 80 chief executives from the US CEO club. They were looking for team activities, which could be done by any age group. The guests were welcomed to Dundas Castle by Robert the Bruce. Before guests were split into teams and competed in percussion, X-factor kilt dressing, bagpipes and cabers for their highland games. The guests later enjoyed a falconry display, ceilidh band during dinner and mini kilted dancers as a post dinner treat. Edinburgh castle bagpipers

On 1st June 2010 we started the new season of Edinburgh Castle bagpipers, to entertain guests on their visit to the Castle. Duties include playing on the battlements as the castle opens, 1 hour concert and photos in hospital square, then warming up the crowd before the one o clock gun. This year we are also providing bagpipers for Urquhart castle. If you are looking for a piper for a wedding at a castle then get in touch, we are the experts!

reel time ceilidh band cast on film

The Reel Time ceilidh band have just completed 2 days intense filming for a German film to be aired on Christmas day on Germany, before hitting screens around the world. Reel Time supplied a 5 piece scottish ceilidh band (accordion, fiddle, small pipes, keyboards, drums) along with 10 film extras to perform with the artistes on the movie. We casted kilted ceilidh dancers and ladies in ballgowns for the highland ball scene. As a one off public event, run in conjunction with Ceilidh Culture festival, we have put together a Reel Time ceilidh and cocktails evening. 10th April 2010 St Columbas by the castle (14 johnston terrace) £10 for tickets. Scotland Means Business, Visit Scotland

Reel Time is working with Visit Scotland to entertain their guests who are attending the Scotland Means Business workshops in April. The Reel Time Ceilidh Band have been booked to entertain guests during their Scottish Gala dinner, then to lead them in a night of ceilidh dancing. It is great to be involved with this Visit Scotland showcase event, so that we can show potential bookers our contemporary twist on Scottish entertainment.

Reel Time at Murrayfield

Reel Time supplied 8 pipers to Murrayfield Stadium last weekend. The pipers piped in the huge number of hospitality guests and posed for a few pictures. The guests were treated to haggis after the game, which was ceremoniously piped in and addressed by Roddy the Piper.

The Unique Venues of Edinburgh are an initiative formed to promote the very best in hospitality Edinburgh has to offer. The group is made up of 26 members, including Historic Venues like Edinburgh and Dundas Castles.
