Today marks 20 year anniversary of Reel Time Events opening.
1st May 2005, I decided there was a distinct lack of young Scottish talent getting booked on events.
What was getting booked was a stereotypical Scottish shortbread tin image.
Scotland needed to move into the 21st Century.
With this I had ideas to play some bagpipes with dance music, get interactive with some of the Scottish cultural icons that we represent, and launch Reel Time Events as a One Stop Scottish Shop.
Whether it be Highland Games, Whisky tasting, hiring Kilts, or a plethora of Scottish entertainment and acts, people started to get in touch.
This was massively helped by ‘The Internet’ getting popular, and also the deregulation of Agency Law.
As I was mostly on the events, the people who were great at delighting clients kept coming back. The people who didn’t quite deliver, got left by the wayside.
The client list over 20 years spans everyone from Film and TV stars, Big businesses, Visit Scotland, Miss World competition. To name a few.
Trips to India, Philippines, China, Ukraine, Spain, Vegas have taken us on the international stage.
So, at 20 years, I have to thanks to ALL the clients who have booked with us. Especially the ones who have been easy to deal with!!!!
I also need to tip my feather bonnet to every musician, dancer, entertainer, sound guy, concierge, chef who has helped us delight clients every time.
Looking back at my Grannies question from 25 years ago, it looks like I can answer it now.
