Plinth Project, Trafalgar Square

Managing director Roddy Deans was selected out of 33000 applicants to receive a place on the 4th Plinth in Trafalgar square, as a part of Antony Gormley’s one and other project. Roddy used his hour to entertain the crowds in Trafalgar square with some well known bagpipe tunes, some contemporary compositions and a fantastic theatrical rendition of Robert Burns address to the haggis, to commemorate 250 years since the great poets birth. Bagpipers For Edinburgh Castle

Working in partnership with Historic Scotland, Reel Time is supplying professional bagpipers for Edinburgh Castle, as part of their daily events program. Our pipers open the castle at 9.30 each morning playing on the front battlements beside the gatehouse suite. They then play a varied program and pose for guests pictures on the battlements at Hospital square. Olympic Homecoming 2008 Press Launch and bus tour

Reel Time Events supplied Pipe Major Roderick Deans to pipe in the 4 Scottish medal winners at 2008s Beijing Olympics to their press conference. He then played on the Olympic homecoming bus down the Royal Mile from Edinburgh Castle to the Scottish Parliament and Holyrood Palace. A crowd of 50000 turned out to welcome Triple Gold Medallist Chris Hoy and 3 other medal winners back to Scotland. Our VIP guests from Scottish Widows Investment Partnership were entertained with a piper, storytellers and a whisky tasting. The event finished with a pipe band leading the guests out after beating the retreat.
